Matt Caseli Dj Biography
Matt Caseli is best known and respected for his funky and sexy DJ sets at one of the world's most beautiful club, " Pacha Ibiza ", where he is, and has been for over 7 years, the resident DJ in it's legendary space, " The Funky Room " (also known as “ El Cielo "). Many clubs try to imitate The Funky Room, but none come close and only Matt Caseli can bring that true vibe.
Matt spins on Pacha's biggest nights: " Ministry Of Sound "," Subliminal Sessions "," Def Mix ",” Release Yourself “,” Pure Pacha “ plus past " Made In Italy " and " Renaissance".
Arriving in Ibiza in 1997, Matt started his first residency at the now well known " Bora Bora ", but soon realized that daytime dj-ing was not his style and a real club was needed. A meeting with Vaughn (The African), host of the Funky Room, led to a guest spot at Pacha, in which he rocked. Matt was immediately offered a residency that has lasted ever since, creating a unique style, from Deep Funky US House to Latin and Soulful House.
Matt has also played at many other fantastic Ibiza places including " Café Mambo "," KM 5 ",” Space “," Café Del Mar "," Manumission "," Es Paradise " and main room " Pacha ". Additionally, he has also been resident at Ibiza’s legendary " Rock Bar " for 3 years.
Now, with many successful guest slots at the " Miami Winter Music Conference ", playing alongside George Morel and Eddie Amador at " Blue " and at " Afterhours Records " parties, Matt has gone onto playing a host of clubs worldwide. He played San Francisco last year, where he spun his funky sound to 1500 people at " Ruby Skye " and recently at “ W Club ” in Salt Lake City; where the crowd went wild and said it was the best night they’ve ever experienced! Also not forgetting when Matt took the Pacha vibe to Moscow to “ The Ministry Club “ and even had the KGB getting down!
In 2002, alongside the notorious Swiss promoter Ulises Braun of Sleepless Nights, Matt began a winter residency in the VIP Room of Switzerland's best club, " Q ", bringing the Funky Room concept to Zurich. The concept, now running in its second year, has taken off. Q’s VIP room is the hottest place to be in the winter, with a funky house sound that melts the snow off the slopes. Matt was also a guest DJ at several other big Swiss clubs: “ The Loft “," Toni Molkerei "," Zoo Club ",“ Atlantis ”,” Saullenhalle “ and Arosa´s “ Kitchen Club ”.
Now this winter 2003 after another successful summer in Ibiza, Matt has become Resident at the mega new “ Pacha Switzerland “. Starting an Ibiza stlyle Funky Room with Vaughn host of the original room, spinning that funky Balearic sound to the real house heads of Zurich!
Back in his native homeland, the UK, Matt has played at many fantastic clubs : " Miss Moneypenny's "," The Emporium "," The Candy Store "," Herbal ", and " Pacha London " to name a few, and had prime time slots at 2002’s “ Homelands " and " Creamfields ". Matt has definetly become one of the “real house” DJs to watch!
